As a graphic designer, I'm forced to work with a lot of vector clip-art to meet tight deadlines. Recently, however, I've been getting sick of the idea of rearranging other people's work to make art....so I've decided to start working on creating my own original hand-drawn clip-art packs.
This is a preview of what can be made using my first pack, which will be a collection of elaborate, growthy crest segments than can be used to build unique, hyper-detailed crests in no time. All the individual segments are hand drawn by me with micron pens and vectorized to work with Illustrator, Freehand, Flash and so on.
This particular piece consists of 8 individual segments and literally took me less than 5 minutes to assemble from the pre-made segments. Can you tell where one ends and the next begins?
I'll keep you guys posted on this project's progress.
It's awesome man. Your attention to detail is unmatched by most and I've enjoyed seeing you develop the years. Not to say that I expect you to remember who i am.
Have you stopped doing character design at all? Like, more anime-inspired stuff like you used to?
Hey man! Yeah, of course I remember ya. Actually, I do a lot of character drawings and figure studies, I just never really finish anything to to point where it's worth showing here. I want to though, have a bunch of cool ideas flowing through. Your stuff looks like it's been coming along nicely as well. Thanks for stopping in on me, it's good to hear from you
Thats a great idea and amazing execution. It looks nothing like I could create in Illustrator, its very organic and still holds that artistic/hand drawn element. I've always associated Illustrator with smooth and clean plasticities and this really defies that notion. Fantastic job in that regard.
Oh ho, quite impressive, I look forwrd to further developments!

Oh awesome man. Also glad you're working with graphics design and all that stuff, always knew you had the skills to make a career out of it I think you should upload some of all this stuff to scrap, i wanna see
And thanks for the kind words. I've started drawing more and more, so i hope it'll pay off.. i do feel improvement but i'm still a retard at hands, for instance. Got so much to learn, it's kinda frustrating.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
